A DUI charge is very serious and we caution all potential clients to never attempt to handle such charges on their own. A lot of drivers believe that if they are just above the legal drinking limit, they’ll be able to avoid an arrest or any other charge. This simply isn’t true and most drivers will be charges with a DUI; even if they were slightly below the limit! All the officer has to do, if prove that the driver was impaired in any way by the alcohol. Even under such circumstances, it is possible to be convicted.
As a reminder, drivers under the age of twenty-one cannot have any alcohol at all in their system while they are operating a motor vehicle. For drivers of commercial vehicles, officers can make arrests if their BAC level is .04 or higher.
